Abstract

The analysis of low and high resolution spectra of the HgMn star 112 Her recorded by the SWP camera on board the International Ultraviolet Explorer reveals no variations of the far-ultraviolet flux of this star over 4 months and 2 days in 1989. The resonance lines of Ga ii and Ga iii, characteristic of clasical HgMn stars, are salient features in the mean SWP spectrum of 112 Her. The TESS lightcurve of 112 Her has a single wave structure with a period between two successive maxima probably close to 6.34 ± 0.15 days. This period is the orbital period of this SB2 system in good agreement with previous determinations.
