Abstract

AbstractProbability tree diagrams are developed for the calculation and interpretation of conditional probabilities. Their use in Bayesian calculations and, most importantly, for the correct interpretation of results is described. Key practical applications to linkage analysis and evaluation of evidentiary DNA material given.
