Abstract

The paper examines the Battle of the Plains of Abraham (1759), analyzing the opposing armies and how General James Wolfe's strategy changed to achieve a decisive victory. Despite earlier setbacks, a profound understanding of his enemy's strategies enabled Wolfe's masterful execution on September 13, 1759, changing the course of history. The importance and significance of the Battle of the Plains of Abraham cannot be understated. It marked the beginning of British control over Quebec and the end of French dominance in North America.
