Abstract
The article analyzes the state of biological safety, threats of a sanitary and epidemiological nature, decisions taken to repel these threats, including the creation of a National System of protection against new infections, Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 743 dated October 5, 2023. The basic principles of creating this system are formulated.
