Abstract

with more and more power electronic equipment is connected in the power system, the transient process of power electronics in short time, especially in abnormal situation, may influence longer electromechanic transient process of whole power system. It may be necessary to use the electromagnetic transient simulation method to simulate the power electronic equipment in short time and large-scale power system in long time. Firstly, this paper presents the basic idea of electromagnetic transient simulation of large-scale power electronic power system, including the simulation method, modeling, parallel computation and initialization based on the power flow result. Then the paper elaborates the preliminary exploration of the electromagnetic transient simulation of large-scale AC power system without power electronic equipment, which is the basis of future work. The test result shows that the electromagnetic simulation of large-scale power system can be initialized based on the power flow result and the transient simulation result has great accuracy. The research work of this paper builds the technical route to the whole research and development, realizes the preliminary verification, and lays good foundations for the follow-up research and development.
