Abstract

Summary In 1996 and 1997, wader migration was studied at seven fish-pool systems in south-east Lithuania. Following the observations, it became clear that the true abundance of many species had been poorly and, in some cases, inaccurately documented in the literature available. This article provides an overall picture of wader migration and an up-dated status for the 26 wader species encountered.
