Abstract
Control problems exist widely in the application of heat exchangers. A new steady operation state of a heat exchanger can be achieved by adjusting the inlet parameters of the exchanger at given steady operation state, which is a dynamic process. The adjusting process is usually executed on the basis of an automatic control principle. In the paper, the automatic optimal control model is applied to achieve the target steady operation state of the exchanger, in which the control adjustments are determined according to the state parameters of the exchanger system; in a traditional automatic control model the control adjustments are determined according to the output parameters of the exchanger. Compared with the traditional automatic control model, the control precision of the automatic optimal control model is better. An example is studied.
