Abstract
The Ultimate Beneficial Owner Register Act imposes a registration obligation on Austrian legal entities, including foundations and trusts, with a view to their respective ultimate beneficial owner. All Austrian Foundations have to disclose their settlor, the members of the foundation council, the beneficiaries, and any other natural person exercising ultimate control over the foundation. Failure to register or registration of incorrect data may trigger fines of up to €200,000.
