Abstract

The autoionising widths of eleven core-excited states of Be+ are calculated with the saddle-point complex rotation method. The dipole radiative widths of these resonances are also computed. The relativistic and mass polarisation corrections to the energy levels are calculated with first-order perturbation theory. The widths of the (1s(2s2p)3P)2P and (1s2p2p)2D states calculated in this work differ from those of a recent experiment by about ten per cent. A comparison with other theoretical calculations shows that very large discrepancies exist among the various results.
