Abstract

Atypical FPIES is diagnosed in patients with reactions consistent with FPIES who have IgE sensitization to the culprit food. IgE sensitization has been linked to a prolonged FPIES course. Previous observational studies report IgE sensitivity to egg in 11-28% of patients with egg FPIES. The purpose of this study is to characterize egg FPIES with attention to overlap with IgE-mediated egg allergy.
