Abstract

The attachment of simple phenols to chloromethyl polystyrene, and their rapid cleavage at room temperature is described. Further, phenols from single resin beads can be unequivocally identified by Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry of the dansylates prepared in situ.
