Abstract

Background: Chronic pain is common in older adults, and high pain intensity and fear of pain are associated with negative health outcomes, including low Quality of Life, falls and disability. Recently, some reports have investigated the association between executive function and pain in older adults, while inconsistent results have been reported in these studies. Furthermore, the association between executive function and pain, particularly fear of pain, is unclear in community-dwelling older adults.
