(Abstracted from J Perinatol 2020;40(11):1617–1624) One of the more common causes of maternal and perinatal mortality is hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDPs). Hypertension affects up to 10% of pregnancies and has been associated with an increased risk of congenital heart disease (CHD) in offspring.
