Abstract

The number of frozen Embryo transfers (FET) in invitro fertilization cycles (IVF) cycles is increasing and has already surpassed in numbers of fresh stimulated IVF cycles. Increasing numbers of elective single ETs are also resulting in more frozen embryos available for subsequent FET cycles. Most commonly, FET cycles are medicated or hormone supplemented cycles (HC) in which the endometrium is prepared by exogenous estrogen and progesterone following pituitary downregulation with gonadotropin releasing hormone agonist (1,2).
