Abstract

Malaysians have a higher risk of earlier onset acute coronary syndrome compared to our neighboring countries. Studies suggest that psychosocial factors are important determinants of cardiovascular health. In Malaysia, there is no study that has evaluated whether the marital status has any effects on younger adults with acute coronary syndrome (ACS).
