Abstract

BACKGROUND: Excessive Digital Media Exposure (DME) has been shown to negatively impact developmental and health outcomes in young children. Many children receive excess DME, and those with disabilities may be at increased risk of elevated DME. An estimated 1:6 United States (U.S.) children have developmental disabilities necessitating the use of developmental services such as occupational, speech and physical therapy.
