Abstract

Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is a common cause of ovulatory infertility. Evidence suggests the Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) concentrations are correlated with the degree of ovulatory dysfunction in PCOS patients. Furthermore, obesity appears to exacerbate many aspects of the PCOS phenotype and is associated with a poor response to infertility treatment. The relationship between obesity and AMH levels has been studied with heterogenous results (1,2). The present study was designed to analyze the correlation between AMH and BMI in PCOS and non-PCOS patients.
