Abstract

Professions related to the manufacture, maintenance and repair of electric machines and equipment are the result of the technological advance. Higher educational establishments provide training for specialists in electrical engineering but there is no feedback between meeting the employers' interests, the possibilities of establishments and educational preferences of individuals. The level of the provision at the mining industry enterprises with specialists in electrical engineering has been assessed. The assessment proved that the people whose qualification exceeds the requirements of the position prevail in the engineering staff. The excessive educational level is confirmed by the availability of several educations one of which corresponds to the electrical engineering profile. The educational structures of the employees who occupy the blue-collar positions prove complete neglect of higher education by the person. Under these circumstances it is necessary to provide the consumers of higher education services with complete information about the demand for the specialists of the electrical engineering profile.
