Abstract

The subject of populist theatre is one that is rapidly gaining in interest not only in Canada but in many parts of the world. This past May in Thunder Bay, Ontario, populist theatre companies from across Canada came together to share productions and information. Workshops were also held involving populist theatre workers from Canada and countries in the Third World. The following talk by playwright George Ryga was given during those workshops and is published here for the first time.
