Abstract

A core aspect of consultation-liaison (CL) psychiatry is teaching as a skill for effective multidisciplinary team collaboration in a complex medical system. This is critical as the pressure increases for pediatric hospital and emergency settings to assess and manage patients with mental health needs. Participants will appreciate the value of clear and consistent communication for interprofessional care at various levels of care, enabling pediatric care teams to expand their knowledge and skills with support and modeling from the CL team.
