Abstract
The paper hopes to explore the roots of art from evolutionary, religious-spiritual, sociological, political and economic dimensions. We shall look at cave paintings, ancient civilisational humanistic expressions and derive their significance in our every day lives. We shall intersect scientific literature with humanities pursuit of truth. There shall be an exploration of metaphysical concepts and different ways of reaching the truth. The paper hopes to blur the lines between the sciences and the arts. The objective is to understand the interdependence between these schools of thought and find commonalities. The objective of the study is to make sure a wholesome liberal arts and sciences way of living help humanity survive technological change, environmental uncertainties and build a sustainable future.
