Abstract
AbstractA survey of Saguaro National Monument, Arizona, in 1965 recovered new information about Hohokam villages, rock shelters, campsites, collection sites, sites with bedrock mortars, agricultural terraces, trails, watering spots, a quarry, and petroglyphs located at the east and west peripheries of the Tucson Basin. Sherds indicated rich cultural assemblages closely allied with the Tucson Basin cultural province, during late Colonial, Sedentary, and early Classic times. Some evidence suggested similarities between modern climate and that of late prehistoric times.
