Abstract
The Qur’an which was revealed in Arabic language is the greatest miracle of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلمcontains various knowledges including Science. This matter can be discovered from the I’jaz or the miracle found from the verses of the Qur’an. As a country that holds the philosophy of Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB) and Negara Zikir (“Zikir” Nation), Brunei Darussalam has adopted the application of Quranic verses in several textbooks used in the education system so that teachers and students can relate the verses of the Qur'an to the content of knowledge to be studied, and this includes Science. Science is a field of knowledge that encourages people to develop research activities to produce various inventions and new discoveries from various angles such as agriculture, medicine and communication, to help people live their daily lives more comfortably. Among the objectives of this study is to help teachers and students in understanding Science according to Islamic theory, with the references from the Quran. The textbook “Secondary Science for Brunei Darussalam Textbook - Year 7” includes 8 basic titles. However, this study will only focus on one basic topic, namely "water”. Qualitative methods will be used to obtain the research data. The researcher will analyze the verses of the Qur'an provided in the introductory page of the stated textbook, and then will analyze some views and suggestions on the appropriateness of the use of the Quranic verses. The researcher will also add some verses of the Qur'an that are appropriate and relevant to the sub-topics studied. This study is also intended to give ideas to the teachers on some Quranic verses that can be used in maximizing the understanding of science in accordance to Islamic theory.
