Abstract

Objective To discuss the diagnostic value of human epididymis protein (HE)4, cancer antigen (CA)125 and risk of ovarian malignancy algorithm(ROMA) index in accessing the risk of ovarian cancer and to analyze the correlation of the three indicators of climical stage of ovarian cancer. Methods A total of 294 patients were subjected to the study including 108 patients with ovarian cancer , 34 patients with other organ cancer 96 patients with gynecological benign disease, and 56 patients with other gynecological.Chemiluminescence was used to measure the serum levels of HE4 and CA125 before surgery.ROMA index was calculated . Results ROMA index(61.4±23.2)% in the patients with ovarian cancer was the highest, while ROMA of patients with benign disease was (16.2±6.3)%.ROMA of patients with gynecological tumor was (19.7±7.5)% and was (14.9±6.0)% in patients with other cancer.the differences were statistically significant(P 0.05). The positive rate of ROMA index was 75.87% in FIGOⅠcompared with that of CA125 and HE4.The positive rates were statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion The ROMA index helps to assess the risk of ovarian cancer and diagnose the ovarian cancer in early.Early diagnosis and treantment can improve the five year survivals of humor. Key words: Ovarian cancer; Human epididymis protein 4; Risk of ovarian malignancy algorihm index
