Abstract
Y chromosome STR gene loci is one of the best tool in the research of Population Genetics,is the helpful supplementation of the research of Population Genetics with mtDNA.The article will introduce the feature and polymorphism research progress of Y chromosome STR gene loci;sum up the methods of the research of Population Genetics with Y chromosome STR gene loci:direct comparison analysis,constructing phylogenetic trees with analysis of molecular variance,hierarchical cluster analysis,principle component analysis;and pointed out the problems and the research direction of Population Genetics with Y chromosome STR gene loci.
