Abstract
Abstract The application of the new ICRU 39 quantities for a large TL personnel monitoring service has been studied. The comparison of the 'photon dose equivalent', used currently, with the new ICRU quantities for the energy range of 10 keVeff to 1250 keV (60Co) shows that the TLD system is readily suitable for the measurement of the new quantities. A simple calibration procedure based on the use of a cubic water phantom has been devised.
