Abstract

The article discusses the concept of sustainable mobility and multimodality and the infrastructure that creates these opportunities, measures to increase efficiency, future-oriented transport policy and future ITS and other innovative solutions. The problem is formed on the basis of theoretical material, the research based on the collected statistical data of the Vilnius city transport system, a correlation analysis is performed and causal relationships are sought. Based on them, a quantitative study is carried out by means of a questionnaire, as well as an analysis of good practice in foreign cities. The results of the performed calculations and research will allow to determine the factors reducing the efficiency of the urban transport system and their impact and will show the ways in which they could be eliminated by proposed model.
