Abstract

In order to know the teaching effect of problem discussion teaching method a comparative study had been carried out when students began their clinical practice in emergency department. It showed that the scores of the students taught by problem discussion teaching method were higher than those of the students taught by traditional instructing method and there were statistical difference. The application of problem discussion teaching method was helpful in strengthening the students' individual consciousness, mobilizing their initiative, consolidating their theoretical medical knowledge, cultivating their clinical think-ing, and improving their ability of problem analyzing and solving. The teachers' demonstration would also help the students to cultivate their strict work style and good professional ethics.
