Abstract

Objective To discuss the application of performance evaluation scheme based on the job training in central sterile services department (CSSD). Methods The performance evaluation scheme based on the comprehensive job-training in central sterile services department of crops hospital from January 2014 to December 2015 was disscussed.The plan lasted 2 years.The mobility of nurses, the improvement of the nursing team's competence and the nurses' satisfaction for such performance-appraising mechanism before the plan(2012, 2013)and after the plan(2014, 2015) was compared by retrospective analyses. Results The annual incidence of the team's mobility from 2012 to 2015 was 13.3%, 12.5%, 5.6% and 0, respectively and the nursing team was stable.The changes of the numbers of team members who were eligible for surgeon posts, captain posts, quality-inspecting posts and training-modulating posts and the nurses' satisfaction for the performance evaluation were compared and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion The application of performance evaluation scheme based on the job training in CSSD stabilises the nursing personnel team, motivates the nurses' working activity, stimulates the team's growth and construction, which is practical and compatible with the present developmental orientation.
