Abstract

In this paper, a approach of discrete-time nonlinear model predictive control based on a wiener model is presented. Laguerre models and piecewise linear approximations are used respectively as linear and nonlinear parts of a wiener model. This approach retains a good trade-off between computational complexity and its fitness. The presented control scheme is applied to the ozone dosing process for drinking water treatment in the Xiangcheng water plant of Suzhou city. The results of the practical operation show that the scheme presented has better performance in comparison with LMPC based on a Laguerre filter model.
