Abstract

Abstract Isotopic and variable temperature studies of the far infrared spectra of a series of metal complexes suggest that, under certain circumstances, metal ligand modes may increase in energy markedly as the sample is cooled, whilst internal ligand modes are generally almost insensitive to temperature change.
