Nowadays, the speed of information technology development is very rapid. Information technology education has attracted more and more people's attention, and the requirements of social development on information processing capabilities are getting higher and higher. Information technology has changed the past teaching methods and carried out new reforms in the teaching field. The teaching of table tennis courses in colleges and universities is inevitably affected. The rapid development of information technology has promoted the innovation of teaching mode, accelerated the pace of teaching mode transformation, and promoted the enthusiasm of students to participate in learning. Based on this situation, this article studies the application of information technology in the reform of college table tennis teaching. This article first studies the development status of information technology, analyzes the teaching reform and teaching design principles of college table tennis under the information technology, and then establishes a hybrid college table tennis course teaching model, and details the functional modules of the teaching model analysis. Finally, this article conducts an experiment on 200 college students in a domestic university. The experiment is divided into a control group and an experimental group. The control group adopts the traditional teaching mode, and the experimental group adopts a hybrid college table tennis course teaching model for teaching, and tests will be conducted one semester later. The test results show that the experimental group's scores in the theoretical knowledge test and practical operation test of the table tennis course are better than those of the control group. This shows that the hybrid college table tennis course teaching model has better learning benefits than the traditional model.
