Abstract
AbstractHigh‐speed countercurrent chromatography (HSCCC) has gained increasing popularity in the isolation of bioactive natural products. This paper reports its application to the separation of the alkaloids vincamine and vincine which differ only by a methoxy group. It is demonstrated in this study that the resolution and speed of HSCCC is comparable to high‐performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and its capability in semi‐preparative purification via continuous sample injections can be a very useful application in phytochemical research·alkaloids; vincamine; vincine; high‐speed countercurrent chromatography
