Abstract

Objective To study the effect of dual linear control energy and vaccum technique to raise phacoemulsification efficiency and reduce complications. Methods Phacoemulsification by dual linear controlled energy and negative pressure were performed on 116 cataract cases with different hardness lens nuclei. The ultrasonic relative energy complex parameters, complications and corneal edema were compared between dual linear group and single linear group. Results The accumulate energy complex parameter for hard nuclear cataract ( scale Ⅲ and Ⅳ ) in dual linear group was significantly less than those in single linear group, but there was no significant difference in soft nucleus cataract ( scale Ⅰ and Ⅱ ). The perioperative complications and postoperative corneal edema in dual linear group were significantly less than those in single linear group. Conclusions Phaco energy can be used at any vacuum condition in the process of phacoemulsification by dual linear technique. It is a high effective and safe phacoemulsification technique. Key words: cataract; phacoemulsification, dual linear
