Abstract

The extraction of the elements Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Zn, Ga, As, Nb, Mo, Ru, Rh, Pd, Ag, Cd, In, Sn, Sb, La, W, Re, Os, Ir, Pt, Au, Hg, Tl, Pb and Bi from hydrochloric acid into methyl isobutyl ketone has been studied as a function of hydrochloric acid concentration. The results are presented in graphical form. The data were obtained by studying the distribution patterns of the elements after equilibration on a Craig countercurrent liquid-liquid extraction apparatus.
