The application of confocal microscopy in the diagnosis of small corneal foreign body

Abstract

Objective To discuss the clinical effect of diagnosis of corneal foreign body with diameter≤ 1 mm by confocal microscope.Methods Small corneal foreign body or suspected foreign body were examined under confocal microscopy.Results Of 23 eyes,22 eyes were diagnosed accurately by confocal microscopy.Conclusion Small foreign bodies can be located precisely with confocal microscopy and the value of confocal microscope in the diagnosis and treatment of small corneal foreign body is significate.
