Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of cognitive behavior therapy on the condition of mental patients.Methods A total of 60 patients with schizophrenia were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group,they were given the same treatment methods,the control group was given conventional nursing,the observation group was received cognitive behavioral therapy based on the control group,two groups were compared with life quality,social function and rehabilitation effect.Results After 12 months intervention,life quality scores in physiological,psychological and social relationship in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05).Social function in daily living skills,social skills,and communication in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05).PANSS negative symptoms in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05).Conclusions Cognitive behavior therapy can improve the negative symptoms of schizophrenia,promote their mental rehabilitation,and improve social function and life quality.
