Abstract

Maximizing production, minimizing costs and improving quality are typical goals of industrial manufacturing facilities. Implementing a modern automation and control system is one method often employed to help achieve these goals. Modern control systems provide access to large amounts of data which can be used to enhance the management of production, cost and quality. This is achieved through improved monitoring and control of the process and increased availability and reliability of the manufacturing equipment. Modern control systems are flexible and can easily be adapted to meet the specific requirements and needs of a manufacturing facility whether it is being designed, expanded or modified.
