Abstract
The spatial heterogeneity of malaria transmission decides the importance to clearly identify the targets in different settings based on mapping and modellings.Rapidly developed 3S technology not only accurately displays the spatial-temporal characteristic of malaria transmission but also provides a new tool for risk mapping and mathematical modelling. This paper reviews the applications and development of mapping in malaria control and elimination.
