The application and exploration of web-based self-directed learning method in medical imaging teaching

Abstract

Using modern technology, integrating the TV, Web, and multimedia teaching materials, a special studying network station was founded. In the class the medical rationale and typical case of a particular disease were taught to the students. After the class the students may log in the teaching network station to study a large sample of cases and do clinical practice. The self-directed learning method on account of web solved the problem of limited time, limited cases, and limited practice for the class. The study interest and extent of the students were enhanced and the abilities of self-directed learning and problem solving were exercised. It provided a new method and model for the innovation of medical imaging clinical teaching. Key words: Web; Self-directed learning method; Medical imaging; Application
