Abstract
In this paper, the serial interference cancellation (SIC) is discussed from 3G, 4G typical application technologies (DS-CDMA, MIMO-OFDM) and non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) which is 5G candidate technology. We also simulate the SIC algorithm in the related technologies. The results show that SIC technology is concerned by domestic or foreign scholars and the research of SIC technology is more profound with the development of wireless communication technology. SIC technology is improved to adapt different communication system requirements are the development direction of the technology in the pursuit of optimal performance. First of all, the performance of the SIC receiver is better than traditional receiver in the DS-CDMA system. Then the first simulation compares the algorithms of ZF, MMSE, ZF-SIC, MMSE-SIC, ZF-OSIC, MMSE-OSIC in the MIMO-OFDM and MMSE-OSIC has the best performances among of them. Finally, the SIC receiver is used to improve the spectral efficiency of the NOMA system. The more efficient and simpler SIC receiver is the key of NOMA technology in the 5G technology.
