Abstract
A theoretical treatment of the annual apparent sidereal daily variation and the anti-sidereal daily variation associated with the following phenomena is outlined:a) An annual linear displacement of phase of as olar daily variation.b) An annual linear displacement of phase of a sidereal daily variation,c) An annual linear change of amplitude of a solar daily variation,d) Combined linear changes of phase and amplitude of a solar daily variation,e) An annual linear change of amplitude of a sidereal daily variation.f) A seasonal variation of amplitude of a solar daily variation,g) A seasonal variation of amplitude of a sidereal daily variation,h) A seasonal variation of phase of a solar daily variation.i) A seasonal variation of phase of a sidereal daily variation,j) Curvature associated with the 11-year cycle of intensity variation. The theory is supplemented by analyses of facsimile daily variations, suitably modulated.
