Abstract
This piece of music was inspired by a draft synopsis of a chapter (2. Hopeless struggle in the anxiety machine) of a book being written by Richard Hall (The Hopeless University: intellectual work at the end of The End of History). See: http://www.richardhall.org/2020/12/17/submitted-the-hopeless-university The subject/concept of the anxiety machine seemed to me to lend itself to a sound/music realisation; so that’s what I did.
