Abstract

A successful anti-dumping petition was filed with the International Trade Commission by advanced display manufacturers in the United States against Japanese firms in 1990. Although opposed by U.S. computer manufacturers, the petitioners proved that Japanese firms were engaged in predatory pricing behavior. The article explores the origins and consequences of this dispute.
