Abstract

Activation analysis with reactor neutrons is used as a complement to the chemical methods for the fabrication of standard materials or for the determination of rraces in non-ferrous metals. The 14 MeV neutrons are used to determine oxygen in metals. Finally, certain problems such as the determination of F in salts, Si in Al−Si alloys or B in the AT5B alloy can be solved by using the neutrons from an isotopic source.
