Abstract
ABSTRACT The most important document in spatial planning in Poland is the local plan. The article considers the possibility of using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method to select the location of local plans in cooperation with experts. The results of the study show that the use of the AHP method makes decisions made by local authorities credible. The paper demonstrates the utility of the tool for deciding where local plans should be developed. The case of Zawidz commune is used to illustrate how the priority of the land-use plan-making process can be decided using the indicators and methodology.
