Abstract
Objective To analyze the refraction status and characteristics in eyes with good visual acuity(0.8 ~ 1.5) after cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation. Methods Followed up the patients with good visual acuity after.age-related cataract surgery and implantation of intraocular lens (IOL).The corneal curvature, refraction and best corrected visual acuity were checked in certain time.In the 24 weeks after surgery, corrected visual acuity of the patients in different distance. Results In 515 cases(515 eyes) with good vision(≥0.8),emmetropia was in 175 eyes(33.98%),myopia and myopic astigmatism in 153 eyes (29.71%),hyperopia and hyperopic astigmatism in 92 eyes (17.86%),mixed astigmatism in 95 eyes (18.45 %).Conclusion Nearly 2/3 in the eyes with good visual acuity (0.8 ~ 1.5) after catract surgery with IOL implantation get astigmatism or myopia, hyperopia, and maintain no accommodationt. The ophthalmologist should be of concern the ametropia and improve the refraction in time after cataract surgery with IOL implantation.
