Abstract

The linear “lens model” approach has been widely applied to the analysis of subject performance in multiple-cue judgment tasks embedded in probabilistic environments. The model is generalized here to situations involving several criteria about which judgments are to be made. It will be shown that the various indices used in the single-criterion linear lens model are readily generalized to the multiple criterion case and may be given interpretations which are similar to those in the basic single criterion model.
