Abstract

Aiming at the problems of traditional IEEE 802.11 DCF protocol applied to LEO satellite Wi-Fi network, the influence of propagation delay, hidden terminal and user collision on the throughput of MAC layer is fully analysed, and a specific scheme is proposed to adjust the ACK Timeout and the minimum contention window value. The improved two-dimensional Markov model has been used to analyse the DCF protocol throughput theoretically. By using MATLAB simulation, it is verified that the throughput performance is directly related to the transmission probability, and throughput performance is negative correlated with the number of nodes and transmission distance.
