Abstract

The purpose is testing the distribution of trace elements rapidly in apples by laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy. Used the 1064 nm and Q ns Nd:YAG laser to be the light source, high precision spectrometer collected spectrum. Layered the sample to four different part for experiments. Analysing spectrum of LIBS, obtained the characteristics spectrum of each elements. Research the time evolution and laser energy character of elements' LIBS, and the result shows the best delay time is 1400ns and the best laser energy is 120mJ. Analysed the data of each area with statistics and got the distribution of the trace elements in apples. In the top half, the concentration of trace elements in outermost part is higher than other two areas, but nearby the kernel of apple is most. In the below half, it's opposite to the top half. And finally obtained the relative concentrative of trace elements. Research shows that laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy has a great ability of testing the elements in apples with rapid non-destructive.
